BULLFIGHTING

In Spain Bullfighting is a well-known tradition around the world. Despite this fact, many people are against these horrible shows. We think Bullfighting is a bad way to torture animal beings.

First of all, according to the Spanish law animal abuse is illegal. Nevertheless Bullfighters take advantage of the fringe of law to benefit themselves. In addition, we agree it's not ethical,  people shouldn't kill animals for fun, but they should do it for necessity.

To sum up, if the tradition is wrong, the government should eradicate it.

FOR AND AGAINST. IS INDEPENDENCE GOOD FOR CATALONIA?

Nowadays, Catalan people has to choose a president for Catalonia which also means to decide to want independence or not. As many things in life, there are advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand, one advantage is that the money produced by Catalonia not only wouldn't go to Madrid but all of it would also stay in Catalonia. Furthermore, Catalan culture wouldn't have a risk to be eradicated by Spanish government.

On the other hand, although the money would stay in Catalonia, the economy would be affected by enterprises which would leave the country. Another important disadvantage is the social tension that could appear between Spanish and Catalan people.

In my opinion, it is really difficult to know what could happen and I think I don't have enought knowledge to decide.

The worst day of my life

My worst nightmare happened about five months ago.
I was spending my summer holidays in a little town on the coast of Portugal with my family.
All started when I was laying on the sofa alone, my parents had decided to go for shopping.
I was bored and I went to spend some time sunbathing, but sudenly, the floor started to shake. It was an earthquake! I couldn't imagine what was happening!
Then, a huge wave appeared on the horixon. Though I was shocked, I started to run to search a safe place.
I finally found an enormous hotel. In spite of being terrrified, I was able to speak with the people hidden there. We went to the roof to be safe.
In short, I'm a very lucky girl. The wave didn't rag me, but it hurt a lot of people who are hurt, alive or even dead.

E-mail

Dear William,

How are you? I'm writing to tell you that a new student has come to my school. Her name is Alice. It seems to be a wonderful person. She is the most pleasant person I've ever met. She is as tall as me and plumb. However, she is very beautiful. She has got curly, long, brown hair and her eyes are light green. She also wears glasses and a lot of piercings.

In addition, she always puts a smile on her face and has got a great sense of humor. She is, without doubt, an easy-going person.

I think we are going to become very close friends. What about you? Have you met someone new recently?

Well, I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

With love,

Irene.
